WELLPOINT RFID for field service fleets

Service Vehicle Tool Management

Know what is in every service vehicle before it leaves. A WELLPOINT read point inside the van registers the tagged tools and equipment on board, so a forgotten ladder, tester or drill is noticed in the yard, not at the customer.

Problems this solves

Forgotten tools

A second trip because one item was left in the depot costs hours. The system shows what is missing before departure.

Missing equipment

Equipment that quietly disappears from vans is visible in the data: when it was last on board and when it was not.

Manual tool checks

Morning checklists and sign-out sheets are replaced by an automatic on-board inventory.

Incomplete vehicle inventory

Each van's standard kit is compared with what is actually on board.

Who it is for

  • Maintenance fleets
  • Field service vans
  • Installation teams
  • Mobile technicians
  • Utility service vehicles

How it works

Tools and equipment carry UHF RFID tags, including on-metal tags for metal items. A compact WELLPOINT read point mounted inside the vehicle reads the tags on board. Because it uses built-in cellular connectivity, it reports to WELLPOINT.cloud from wherever the van is, with no depot network, no Wi-Fi pairing and no app on the driver's phone.

What the fleet manager sees

  • On-board inventory per vehicle in WELLPOINT.cloud.
  • Missing items compared with the vehicle's standard kit.
  • History: when an item left a vehicle and when it returned.
  • CSV export, API and ERP integration for fleet and service-management systems.

The system detects presence on board. It does not track a vehicle's route or a person; it answers the question "is the equipment in the van?"
