WELLPOINT RFID for manufacturing

Factory Tool Management

Know which tools are present, automatically. A WELLPOINT fixed read zone at the tool crib, the workstation or the production cell registers every tagged tool inside it, so a missing tool is visible before it stops a line, not after.

The workflow

  • RFID-tagged tools
  • WELLPOINT fixed read zone
  • automatic presence detection
  • WELLPOINT.cloud
  • missing / present / movement

Tool cribs and cabinets

A read zone covering the crib shows what is in and what is out at any moment, replacing sign-out sheets and end-of-shift counts.

Workstations and cells

Kits assigned to a station are checked for completeness automatically. A missing item is flagged, not discovered mid-job.

Calibrated and controlled tools

Tools that must be traceable stay traceable: the data shows when they left the zone and when they came back.

Shift handover

Handover becomes a glance at the dashboard instead of a walk around the floor with a checklist.

Why deployment is fast

  • Purpose-built read points: reader, antennas and housing designed for tool storage, not assembled on site.
  • Built-in cellular connectivity where used: no production network involvement, no firewall rules. No local network required.
  • Configuration and data handling in WELLPOINT.cloud, not in on-site middleware.
  • Installation is mounting and power. In many tool-crib setups the system is close to plug and play.

Tags for factory conditions

Metal tools and RFID have a history of not getting along. WELLPOINT uses on-metal UHF tags and protective housings where needed, so wrenches, gauges, dies and fixtures can be read reliably in a read zone. We will tell you honestly which of your tools are easy to tag and which need a different approach.

Data where you need it

Present and missing lists on the WELLPOINT.cloud dashboard, CSV export, API and ERP integration for maintenance and production systems.
