WELLPOINT People Counter for venues

People Counting for Venues & Events

Conference halls, exhibition centres, theatres, clubs and community venues all need the same two numbers: how many guests came, and how many are inside right now. The WELLPOINT People Counter delivers both from indoor entrances and access points, and is quick enough to deploy for a single event.

Audience at a conference venue

Guest counting and occupancy control

Guest counting

Total attendance per event, per day and per entrance, without clickers or ticket-scan gaps.

Live occupancy

IN minus OUT across all counted doors gives the number of people inside, with alerts as a capacity limit approaches.

Entrance balance

See which entrances carry the load and where queues build up.

Event comparison

Attendance history in WELLPOINT.cloud lets you compare events, sponsors' expectations and marketing efforts with real numbers.

Fast to deploy, easy to move

Venues change layout from one event to the next. The WELLPOINT People Counter is a small device mounted beside a doorway with adhesive strips or a bracket, powered from a USB adapter, and connected through its own built-in mobile data. There is nothing to configure on the venue network, so a counter can be moved to another entrance or another hall in minutes.

Temporary events benefit most: install for the show, collect the data, take it down.

Indoor entrances and access points

The current device is designed for indoor use. For outdoor venues, count at the covered access points, gates into halls, tents and buildings, rather than in the open air. Each device covers a passage of up to about 2.4 m; wider gates use several linked devices.

Camera-free sensing means guests are counted, not filmed, which is easy to explain in privacy notices and to security teams.
