WELLPOINT People Counter + WELLPOINT.cloud

Occupancy Counting & Analytics

Occupancy is the number of people inside a space right now. WELLPOINT calculates it from what the counters see at the doors and keeps the history, so you can act on today's number and plan with last year's pattern.

Turnstile gates at a building entrance

The basic model

  • IN
  • minus OUT
  • = current occupancy

Every WELLPOINT People Counter counts in both directions. WELLPOINT.cloud adds up the entries and exits of all counters assigned to a space and shows the difference as current occupancy. Reset points such as closing time keep the number honest over long periods.

A space can be a single room, a gallery, a floor or a whole building, as long as its entrances are counted.

What you get

Live occupancy

How many people are inside now, per space and per site.

Thresholds and alerts

Set a capacity limit and get notified as occupancy approaches it.

Historical trends

Occupancy by hour, weekday and month, so patterns and outliers are visible.

Reporting

Dashboard views, CSV export, API and ERP integration.

Occupancy and attendance together

Attendance tells you how many came. Occupancy tells you how many were there at the same time. Both come from the same counters and the same data.

Capacity management

Rooms, halls and venues with a maximum number of people, where a live number is worth more than an estimate.

Space planning

Peak occupancy versus available seats, desks or square metres over weeks and months.

Service planning

Cleaning, security, catering and climate control that react to how full a space actually is.

Hardware and cloud designed together

Occupancy is only as good as the counting behind it. WELLPOINT develops both the People Counter device and WELLPOINT.cloud, so counting direction, sync interval and multi-device setups are handled as one system. The counters use built-in mobile data, so a multi-entrance setup does not need a network project.

Privacy by design

Camera-free Time-of-Flight sensing counts movement through a doorway. It cannot identify people, so occupancy analytics never involves personal data. That is a practical advantage in public buildings, workplaces and anywhere visitors expect discretion.
